Dr. Kristin J. McClure
Dr. McClure started working at an animal hospital as a kennel attendant when she was 16 years old. Before joining Golf Rose Animal Hospital in 1999, she worked at small animal practices in Burbank and in Lake Zurich. She is especially interested in oncology and internal medicine. Dr. McClure was born and raised in Schaumburg, and graduated from Conant High School in 1989.
Dr. McClure has been married for almost three years. She and her husband welcomed their new son in February, 2007. Other members of their family are Storm (a 6-year old African Grey Parrot), Birdie (a cockatiel), Louie (a 7-year old Doberman Pinscher), and Norton and Trixie (4-year old cats).
In her spare time, Dr. McClure's favorite hobby is scrapbooking. She usually has all of her scrapping materials all over the dining room, which has become the scrap room. She also enjoys gardening and home canning fruits and vegetables from her garden. Last year, she grew 40 pounds of pears and made several types of pear jam and canned amaretto pear slices! Dr. McClure and her family try to take a hiking vacation every year.
